There was a beautiful Cherry Blossom tree surrounded by luscious green grasses. Unlike the other ducklings, Mother Duck was specially worried about Timmy due to his curiosity towards nature. Timmy would always want to break free from the pack when Mother Duck took the ducklings for a swim along the shore. While the other ducklings seem to enjoy swimming around the pond where Mother Duck swam along, Timmy would want to explore beyond this. So, one sunny morning, Timmy set off with excitement in him. He passed the lily pads, the dandelion fields beside the pond and met new friends along the way. Timmy could not resist admiring the beauty of what he saw as he swam along. By now, Timmy was far off from the scents of the Cherry Blossom trees and the breeze that filled up the grass meadow. Meanwhile, Mother Duck starts to look for Timmy everywhere.Timmy realizes that it’s starting to get dark and doubts if he can make his way back home. Timmy remembers that Mother Duck has once taught him to follow the fireflies if he gets lost and so he did. Timmy got home safely and got into the arms of Mother Duck and Father Duck and hugged them tightly. 

Story by Sayeda Tajkia Ihsan, and she’s from Morning Glory School & College, Savar Cantonment.

Sayeda Tajkia Ihsan Once upon a time, Timmy, the mischievous little duck lived near the pond.
